18. The Current Financial Crisis
GOD:
My Son, just look at today’s financial and employment problems in
America – the beacon of hope and prosperity for the world. In 2010,
nationally the average unemployment rate was above 15%, contrary to the
government’s made-up figure of 9.9% that was a big, self-serving lie
just like everything else they tell the villagers. In California – the
largest economy in the village, if not the world – the unemployment was
at 22%. In some parts of the country it was as high as 50% and in some
areas still is the same or worse. Nationally, less than 50% of high
school students are graduating – in some areas of the country that
figure is as low as 18%!
Hard working Americans with years of college training are out of a job
for over two years and can’t find any work never mind in their own field
of study and experience. For example, an engineer with a graduate degree
and more than twenty years of work experience happily accepted a
part-time clerk job paying $8.75 an hour at Wal-Mart after two years of
looking for work.
There are children graduating with honors from top universities – with
hundreds of thousands of dollars in school debt – but can’t find a job.
If one is between the ages of 50-65 – before qualifying for Medicare –
they can in no way find a job due to the high cost of healthcare
insurance for a small business.
The American dream of owning one’s home is gone because of the housing
crisis. There are so many homes in foreclosure, with many more on the
way, that the banks holding them are already bankrupt or will go
bankrupt as soon as their federal government stops propping them up with
the tax dollars – even worse, with borrowed money from the future
children of the village, some of them not yet born!
There are so many villagers who are holding on to their over-mortgaged
and undervalued homes in the hope of recovering their investment next
year when the prices rebound – wishful thinking, as the banks with their
huge inventory of foreclosed homes so called shadow inventory will sap
out any increase (if any) right out of their real estate market by fore
running the villagers. The sad irony is that if the banks don’t
foreclose on their defaulted villagers, then their economy will
collapse!
Whose fault is all this? The villagers! As they keep voting the same
morally corrupt representatives back into the office, year after year,
without holding any of them accountable for their lousy, and in some
cases, treasonous actions. And because the villagers naively – or just
being lazy – fall for those one liners – the majority, if not all of
them, are big lies – to prey on the villagers weaknesses or their
religious beliefs or just outright scaring them from the doomsday that
they have painted for them, or exploiting them against each other just
to stay in power!
They must do something before it is too late! As there is no way they
can create 15 million new jobs or get out of under the $16 trillion and
vastly rising debt or stop more villagers from losing their jobs and
their homes. Just like communism and socialism that didn’t work – and
won’t ever work – the phony capitalism won’t work either. Only true
capitalism works! By that I mean a capitalism system operated with
honor, trust and integrity. Honor, trust and integrity are something
that they all have in them but have lost the sight of due to betrayal by
the church, the elected officials and the villagers’ blind belief in
them.
It is now the time for all of the villagers of all shapes and colors to
come together and put aside all of their prejudices and all other
ideological shenanigans and work together in earnest to save the village
by bringing back honor, trust and integrity to the village.
